Can Medicare Part B help pay for mobile OT or PT?

Kind Oasis is an in-network provider for Original Medicare Part B. Part B helps pay for medically necessary outpatient occupational and physical therapy when applicable requirements are met. A visit in your home does not automatically make the service a Medicare home health benefit.

What should I check first?

• Confirm whether you have Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan. An Advantage plan has its own network and authorization rules.
• Tell us if you are receiving care from a Medicare-certified home health agency; therapy billing can differ during a home health episode.
• Ask about your deductible, coinsurance, any secondary coverage, and whether the proposed service meets coverage requirements.

What might I pay?

For covered outpatient OT or PT under Original Medicare, Medicare generally pays its share after the Part B deductible and the beneficiary generally owes 20% of the Medicare-approved amount. Secondary insurance may affect your balance. We verify benefits and discuss expected costs with you; coverage is not guaranteed.

How is this different from home health?

Medicare's home health benefit has separate eligibility and agency requirements. Mobile outpatient therapy may be delivered at home under Part B, subject to the applicable therapy rules. If you are in an active home health episode, please tell us before scheduling so we can check how therapy should be coordinated.
